Can I file my NJ tax now, I'm getting a refund and file my Fed Tax on deadline because I owe? Can this be done using turbotax?

You can actually file both right now and pay the Federal taxes on or by April 15, 2019.

You can set up the payment to come out of your account in April or pay by check and just print the Federal payment voucher and mail it in with the check by April 15, 2019.

This way you are done with TurboTax.

Or you can go to TurboTax and mark the Federal as File by Mail and then e-file only the State.  You can then come back later and change the Federal from mail to e-file and do it that way.

I prefer first as then you are done filing and just have to pay the Federal by April 15th.
