Can I file my federal return by mail and my state return by efile? My federal does not qualify for efile as all lines are zero.

Do I need to file federal at all? If so, do I need to file the federal and wait?

Can I file my federal return by mail and my state return by efile? My federal does not qualify for efile as all lines are zero.

If the federal tax return is not e-filed then the state return cannot be e-filed but must be printed and mailed.
