Can i file married filing seperatly? so wifes student loan doest interfear? she died 3-3-2019. had paym,ent set. since her passing, no payments made. or HOH?

Sorry about your loss. since you were married when she died.  you can file as married filing separate.  Don't know if a return needs to be file for your deceased wife, but that also would be married filing separate.

if you have a qualifying dependent and don't remarry you can file as a widower for the next 2 years.   after that with a dependent and not remarrying you should be able to file as head of household.

Ok, idk if you have anything to do with turbotax, but it asks bout my wife, I answer now it automatically puts me at married filing jointly. She wasn't even working at the time.
