Can i file head of household if married
I am married, we lived separate all year (starting a divorce process) have a 5yr old son who lived with me all year and I was financially responsible for. I rent a room from my mother in law and live very separately. Can I still file head of household?

Can i file head of household if married
Yes, for head of household purposes you are considered unmarried, if you lived apart from your spouse for more than six months during the year, and if you meet the other head of household tests you can you can head of household. Click here for the Turbotax article on head of household.
