Can I download one turbotax software for myself and a separate turbotax download (purchase) for my son on one computer?

I  want  to download a turbotax software for me and also a separate purchase for my son on the same computer, can I do this without  causing tax preparing issues?

Here is how to create online accounts.  But I just want to make sure that we are both on the same page. You appear to be asking from the download (desktop version) of turbotax.   When you create on online account, the data is not stored on your computer (you can eventually download it to save it) but the working copy is stored in the cloud,

You can not have 2 different versions of personal turbo tax loaded on the same computer. However, with the download software, you can complete as many tax returns as needed for you and  your family members. You do not need to purchase 2 copies of the software.  For each return, just go to the file tab and select new. Per IRS regulations you can only EFile 5 separate federal returns, but if you have more, you can just mail those.  See screen shot for creating the new return
