Can i delete from the 2022 calculation an"overpayment applied" from the previous year?

Yes.

In TurboTax (TT), enter at:

Federal Taxes Tab (Personal for H&B version)

Deductions & Credits

-Scroll down to:

--Estimates & other taxes paid

   -Other Income taxes

    On the next screen, scroll down to:

     -2021 Refund applied to 2022 Taxes

        -2021 Refund applied to 2022 Federal Taxes

Delete the auto populated amount or change it.

But, you may want to explain why you want to do that, to elicit more advice.

It  worked !many thanks.  The IRS had recalculated my 2021return and the  refund was no longer applicable.
