When you enter state tax withheld from W-2's, 1099-MISC or other income that can have withheld taxes, it is automatically populated to deduct.
If you made additional state tax payments, this is how to enter them:
1. Go to Federal.
2. Select Deductions and Credits.
3. Choose Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
4. Select Other Income Taxes Paid in 2017.
This is where you
will add the state taxes paid in 2017.
