Can I deduct back pay from a law suit that only paid 49% of the pay owed?

I received 49% of the wages they owed me in the law suit. That is how they stated it. Can I deduct the 51% that was owed?

No. Since you never received the wages, you never paid tax on them in the first place. That’s your tax reduction.
