Can i correct a rejected tax return because of error ind-031-04?

the number on my 2018 and 2019 return is the same. I was widowed in 2019 does this affect my AIG?

Sorry for your loss. The AGI would be the same for both of you. others have reported a similar issue. try again

Sometimes there is a conflict between the SSA and the IRS info which makes e-filing in situations like yours impossible. Mailing your return is your only option.

I am trying to amend my 2023 return because I did not state that I am a dependent to my parents and their taxes got rejected which is a big deal
