Can I claim my child as a dependent for my 2016 tax return if she was born on December 16, 2016?
This year when I file it will be 2017 I am filing for 20016 correct? Also can I claim my child if she was born December 2016?

Can I claim my child as a dependent for my 2016 tax return if she was born on December 16, 2016?
A child born during 2016 can be claimed as a dependent on a tax year 2016 return filed in calendar year 2017. A child born during the year is considered living in the home for the entire year for tax purposes.
