You may qualify to claim your grandchild if his parents are not claiming him, he lived with you for more than half the year, and your income is higher than either parent. 

When you enter your grandson into TurboTax do not select child as the type of dependent. Instead, select another person on the screen that asks who else you support. Then you can select grandchild in the drop-down menu. Please view my (screenshot) below for reference.

Note: You need to select the whole year as the time that your grandson lived in your home during 2018 so that you will qualify for all child-related benefits.
