No To file as HOH you must have a qualified dependent.

If you are Single you cannot have Head of Household as a filing status if you do not have a qualifying person as a dependent.

The Standard Deduction is automatic. If your itemized deductions are not greater than the standard deduction for your filing status, itemized deductions will not be used on your tax return.
