Can I change the charges that my federal tax return charged me? I didn't ask for max...never had to pay for my federal tax return before

Yes, you can remove MAX, as long as you haven't already paid for it.

When you're in your return:

1. Select File in the left-hand menu.
2. Continue until you get to Step 1, Review your order, then select Start.
3. When you get to your order summary, select Remove under Max Benefits.
4. On the following screen, select Remove MAX.

Regarding other charges, I don't know what is in your tax return, so I don't know what the lowest amount you should pay is.

And somehow you upgraded to the LIVE expert help feature for higher cost.  Did you want LIVE?  How to remove Turbo Tax Live.  There are 2 different ways to remove Live depending on how you added it
