Can I bypass claiming my son as a dependent after using "child care" reimbursement via my job that shows on my w2? His dad has already claimed him.

On my w2, the reimbursement account shows as "dependent care"... I didn't think about this requiring me to claim my son as a dependent. But now, I can't move past this step on my taxes due to not adding him as a dependent.

Are you the custodial parent?  Only the custodial parent can get the childcare credit?  Do you live in different households?  Who does the child live with?  Only the parent that the child lived with can claim the childcare credit.
