I need help. This is an amendment to my filing. at the very end on the File tab it says i need to select efile or mail, but Federal has already been filed. Help please.

It is asking you to e-file the amendment.   Generally, you can e-file your amended 2025, 2024, or 2023 federal return via TurboTax if your original return was also e-filed in TurboTax.

please please please look at the screenshots i posted. the last one shows that it is not working for some reason. i have done all the steps. i have already gotten my return a month ago and needed to amend. Why won't it let me. I know it is efile, because it was done as efile a month ago. HELP ME

If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.

There's no rush to file an Amendment.  It takes up to 16 weeks to process and doesn't 'catch up' and correct your original filing.
