Can anyone help? Can't open 2022 TT return on Mac OS Monterey12.7.3. Have reinstalled TT software 2X. All copies of return give Wrong tax year message. Anyone have a fix?

Only the 2022 version of TurboTax will be able to open a 2022 tax return.

Annette, Wish it was that simple.  2022 TT program will not open 2022 tax return nor will 2023 TT program transfer data from 2022 tax return.  None of my prior year TT programs will open any of their respective TT returns.  All give the same message that the Tax Year is wrong.  Is there a problem with the OS?  Thanks!

I was able to transfer a 2022 return to TurboTax for Mac 2023. Your OS Monterey 12.7.3 should work. See here for the full list of system requirements.

To transfer info from your 2022 TurboTax for Mac return:

1. Open TurboTax for Mac 2023 and choose File New Tax Return.
2. Select Begin and choose Use a tax return that's on my computer.
3. Select your 2022 return from the list and select Continue.
   • If you don't see your return, select Find your tax return.
   • If your 2022 return is on another computer, here's how to move it to your present computer.
4. Select Continue to review the transferred information. We'll also give you opportunities to review, edit, or delete transferred information later on.

Be aware that once you've gone past the Transfer screens, you can't go back to revisit them. If you need to re-do your transfer, go back to step 1 to start over with a new return.

If you followed these steps to transfer a tax file and they didn't work, you could try transferring a PDF of the return.

Still no luck.  2022 TT will not open 2022 Return and 2023 TT will not transfer data from 2022 return.  OS is up to date and TT 2022 and 2023 were newly installed.  It appears that none of my TT returns will open with their respective TT programs.  All give the same error message - wrong tax year or some other problem.  Any other ideas?
