Calculating estimated tax as divorced

How do I calculate my estimated tax given I filed jointly last year and will need to file separately in 2022?

Calculating estimated tax as divorced

If you are divorced by the end of 2022, when you file your 2022 tax return you will either file as Single or as Head of Household--if you have been the custodial parent of the children.   You will not file as married filing separately if you are no longer legally married at the end of 2022.

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

And....if you have an online account you will want to start a new account so that you do not have to contend with "spouse" information transferring in from 2021 to 2022 when you start the new 2022 return.
