The software took my total expenses ($2,206) and applied the full amount to Line 14 of the Ohio Schedule of Credits. It failed to apply the statutory cap of $250 per student. While the 'info' provided does explain the limit, the data entry field asks for "Enter your Home School Expenses". At the very least there should be a warning to only enter a max of $250 per eligable student. It would be even more helpful to have fields for the number of eligable students and expenses per student, and then apply the credit for the taxpayer, capping the amount to $250 per student. The way it is now it allows me to enter the full $2,206 as a credit towards taxes, which is obviously wrong.

I'm having the exact same issue. Last year (2024) it capped at $250 (and I now realize it should have been $250 x number of children, but there was no way to enter this). This year, it is allowing my full expenses instead of capping at $250 per child. Needs to be fixed.
