BUG: infinite loop in adding expenses to business

After adding my business as a source of income, I wanted to add expenses. When I open the "Assets" section, I have two items that, when added the costs together, amount to less than $2,500, so I select "yes" and "continue" in all of the menus attached to this workflow (screenshot below), and then I get returned to the main menu after completing this section. The section entitled "Assets" that I just filled out is still marked as "Not Started," even though I just clicked through the entire menu. Nowhere in the entire process was I asked to input the items and their costs.

Assistance from the Live Chat option did not understand that we were going in circles and thought I should ask a tax expert... There are SO many UI related console logs going on here, it's not even funny, but some of them indicate errors and 404s that could be pertinent to the issue outlined here. I'm doing this on Brave browser on a Windows PC. How soon can this be fixed?

You indicated to the program that you have assets with a cost less than $2,500 each and opted to make a "de Minimus Safe Harbor" election.  In other words, you elected to"expense" those items rather than set up as assets and depreciate them.  After answering the questions to determine if you can make the election and ndicating that you want to, on the page with "Now, let's review each item you bought" you have to select between "Every item I bought cost $2,500 or less." or "Some items I bought cost $2,500 or less and some cost above $2,500.   If you select "Every item I bought cost $2,500 or less." The program exits the Asset section because you just indicated that you don't have any assets to enter.  If you indicate "Some Items..." it will stay in the Asset section and guide you through entering your assets.  If you don't have items with a cost greater than $2,500, then you can go to the appropriate expense category and enter your items that cost $2,500 or less that you elected to expense under the de Minimus Safe Harbor election.

Thanks, this makes sense. The problem is that in selecting the "everything costs 2.5k or less," that portion of the form is marked as incomplete. Is that supposed to happen?

If you didn't enter any assets, the topic will continue to show as "Not Started." As long as you don't receive any error messages when you run Smart Check. you can ignore status lines you know don't apply to you.
