Box 14 on my W2 has GIV as Description and no category listed. What should I put for the category?

If you have GIV as a description in Box 14 of your Form W-2 you can use the category Other (Not Classified).

In most cases, the amount in Box 14 is informational only, and you do not usually need to add this amount anywhere else on your federal tax return.

If you are unsure, you can ask your employer to confirm what GIV represents.
