Report the 1099-MISC as follows:

Select Federal from the left side menu.
Click on Wages & Income.
Scroll down to Other Common Income. Click Show more.
Click Start / Revisit to the right of 1099-Misc.

Do you know for what reason the income was issued?

Box 3 of 1099-MISC is Other Income, which can be anything.

Contact the issuer. They can tell you what it’s for.
