Balance Due

After I completed my taxes through TurboTax, I have a state refund of $1006, and I owe the IRS $1704.  I paid my turbo tax fees on one screen, then the site took me to another to settle everything, so I opted to pay my $1704 Feseral tax owed in full.  $1704 was deducted from my debit card, however, looking at the site now, it says I still owe $698.  Also, they included payment slips, even though I paid in full.  This is concerning to me.

Balance Due

That is just the net of your federal and state returns.   You don't owe anything and you will get a refund from your state for $1006.   TurboTax does not include any payments you made at filing on your 2024 tax return.  It will always show as it did when you filed the return.  Ten years from now, it will still say you owe $698.  Don't be concerned; it is correct.
