On the PENSION Deduction Summary page, I thought my USAF retirement would be listed but it is not. Did I miss something?

No, your USAF retirement compensation is not taxed in Kansas. As a Kansas resident, your military retirement pay (including Survivor Benefit Plan payments) is fully exempt from state income tax, although it is still subject to federal taxes.
You probably missed the question in the federal section asking if this is a "military pension" or "government retirement" when you entered your Form 1099-R.
To get to those screens in TurboTax to review your entries, you can:

Your federal tax should not change from a KS exemption. You don't mention amending the federal. If you were simply amending KS but the federal changed, there could be tax forms in your return that have been updated since you filed. You will want to review your original return and compare it to the new return and look for differences line by line on all the forms.

Thanks for the answer. I'm in the middle of filing an amendment for 2025 and the Kansas tax window has changed from a bill of $7,473 to refund of $5,408 and the US window chanced from $34,532 due to an additional $743 due.
I have mailed the tax returns and checks. Why do I owe more Federal taxes?
