There was supposed to be a cash due back I’m not sure if it got passed

Generally, it can be to your advantage to file even if you don't have to.

For example if you had low income in 2019 but filed anyway you would have received the 2020 stimulus check right away.

The IRS Free file program lets you file free of charge. You don't need TurboTax.

@mandrew - for 2020 and 2021 there are advantages to filing, even if you income was below 10,000.  there were special COVID related rules that increased refunds - even if you owed no tax 

for 2022, that is not the case.  the only reason to file would be to receive back any federal or state withholdings from your paycheck.
