Just burn the .tax2017 *AND* the .PDF file to a CD, the same way you burn any other file on your MAC to a CD.

If you are using the Mac version of 2018 desktop TurboTax, here's how to find the *.tax2018 data file for your 2018 return.  If you need additional help, I can ask a Mac user to help you.

Are you asking how to store a *.tax2018 data file, so that next year you can use it to import into a 2019 return?

You can locate your *.tax2018 data file and archive it on a CD-R/CD-RW or DVD disc in the same way that you would save any file to a CD-R/RW.

Did you install from a downloaded installation file?   If so, you can also archive that installation file to the same CD-R/RW or DVD, if you wish.

If you purchased a download from TurboTax, it will be in your download account for at least 3 years.  If you have to download it again later, it will be the most recent release of the 2018 program.

I would not uninstall the 2018 program, however.  I keep several years of TurboTax installed on my computer in case I need to amend a return at some point or need to check something from a prior year.
