So I did the clear and start over.   Went to the IRS free file site and started from there.   Went through the whole thing but when I got to the filing it failed with an error about some form that was not supported by Free File?

Gave up on Turbotax and when to another Free File provider and we filed there.   Not sure if it has been accepted by IRS yet?   What is the significance of Registering?

When you register your taxes with Turbo Tax you are providing your contact information in case Turbo Tax needs to get a hold of you for any reason
