I used Turbo Tax about 2 weeks ago, printed out my taxes, but wanted to file them electronically, is it too late?

There are two file options in TurboTax, taxpayers can either choose to file by mail or e-file. If you chose to file by mail, you are responsible for printing and mailing the tax return. The filing instructions for mailing the tax return are include with your tax return. If you chose the file by mail option and you want to switch to e-file. You can switch to efile thru Oct. 15 2019 as long as you haven't already mailed your tax return. Please see this TurboTax FAQ, How do I change from mail to e-file in the TurboTax CD/Download software?https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3985787
After you e-file your tax return in TurboTax, your federal tax return is submitted electronically to the IRS. Your e-file status will show either as pending, rejected, or accepted. Please see the definitions of each status below:
Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected the tax return.
Rejected means the IRS received your tax return, but return it because there are some errors that need fixing before the IRS can accept and process it.
Accepted means your return was received and the initial inspection (for example, the date of birth matched, social security numbers matched, dependents haven't been claim, etc) was passed. After the initial inspection, the IRS will then do a deeper inspection for other errors, owed debts, etc. If there are no issues, the IRS will approve the refund and provide you with an estimated refund date. This date will be provided on the IRS "Where's My Refund?"
