Are gift cards and store discounts earned from playing electronic games taxable income? How are they reported?

Discounts are not treated as income by the IRS, but gift cards are considered cash equivalents and would be taxable income. Other income would be reported in the Wages & Income section of your TurboTax. Go to Less Common Income and then Miscellaneous Income.
