App says we've paid 202k in income tax, but we didn't even earn that much. our w2 info is correct. what gives?

You likely typed a comma instead of decimal on your W-2 or other forms. Check again.

The app has you take a picture of the w2. I double checked and our withholding amounts are correct on the w2s.

Sometimes things get scrambled when you enter your W-2 by snapping a photo or importing it. If the data entered in to your return does not match your W-2 (and it sounds like it does not) then you must make corrections.

I would love to make corrections, I just don't see anything on the w2 that needs correcting. They both appear to be correct. I checked line by line multiple times.

Go to Federal>Wages & Income and check all if the amounts entered from the boxes on the W-2 that you snapped a photo of. Pay particular attention to box 2.
