Anyone have issues having efile acceptance with paying off first time homebuyers in 2017. rejected saying payment is due, balance was paid fully in 2017.... confused.

I would first go to the website below and verify that this credit has been paid off completely: 

https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/first-time-homebuyer-credit-account-look-up

If it is showing as a zero balance on the website above, I would call the First-Time Homebuyer Credit phone number at 1-800-919-0352, because there is something in the system that is indicating there is still a balance owed if it is rejecting.
