My grandfather passed away and I was the beneficiary of an annuity. How do I file it

If you received payment from an annuity in 2019, your will receive a 1099-R form from the insurance company. Here is how to enter it:

1. Use the search box in the upper right corner and search for "1099R"
2. Click on Go to 1099-R.
3. Follow the on screen directions to upload or enter the information. 

Form 1099-R is usually mailed out no later than January 31, so you may need to wait a little while to get the form.
