Amending tax return due to not filing spouse's (on F2 visa) 8843

Hi, I am an international student in the US on an F1 visa. My wife is here on an F2 visa since 2021. Since, she is not allowed to work, she does not have any income. As such, we only filed my taxes for the tax years 2021 and 2022.

I recently found out that we still need to submit the for 8843 for my wife even if she does not have any income. We will do this starting from the tax year 2023, but how do we rectify/amend the fact that we did not submit the for 8843 for her in 2021 and 2022 tax years?

Thanks in advance.

You can submit Form 8843 for prior years without penalty.  You can download the form from the IRS, complete and mail.

Or, here's link to a Form 8843 Online Wizard you may find helpful.
