I have a little bit of a complicated situation. Background info: claimed FEIE on 2023 taxes and plan to do so on 2024 taxes as well. Began living in foreign country and qualifying for FEIE in October 2022. I didn’t realize I could prorate the FEIE during 2022 and omitted the FEIE all together. Should I go back and amend my 2022 tax return to include my FEIE eligibility or should I just leave it as is because it could affect my eligibility to continue claiming the FEIE?

@tvvkk365 , as I understand your situation:
1. You a US person ( citizen / GreenCard ) moved to a foreign country ( which country please ? ) sometime in 2022 ( exact date please ? )
2. You are employed ( which entity -- US entity / local private entity ) or self-employed --- ( no connection to US govt. or one of its agencies.
3. You are on indefinite assignment.
4. You have claimed FEIE for 2023 tax year and plan to do so again for 2024 tax year.
Therefore the question is what did you do for 2022 tax year ( when you also had US sourced income and partly foreign sourced income). ?
I will come back once I hear from -- yes ?
