Amend Previous Tax Returns for unclaimed Child Deduction and Tax Credits

My ex-spouse did not use the child tax deduction from 2017 to 2020. Should I amend my previous four returns to obtain the tax deduction tax credit?

You can no longer amend a 2017 tax return for a tax refund.

Were you the custodial parent in 2018 thru 2020?
