Divorced is your marital status but single is your filing status unless your qualify to file as head of household.

Yes you are Single. "Divorced" is not a filing status for a tax return. It asks if you were divorced in order to lead to certain other pertinent questions, but if you have been unmarried for 30 years, you file as Single.
