Am I full-year or part-year resident of MD if I moved to the US in August and lived in MD till end of the year? I am not American.

You would be a part year resident because you did not live in the state of Maryland until August.

I want to make sure you are preparing the right tax return. Depending on your visa status, you may need to file tax form 1040NR instead of 1040.
