After "linking" my reimbursed moving expenses, I went from about a $500 Federal refund to owing $221, and from owing about $1000 on state to owing $1455. Any ideas why?

You may not have entered your moving expenses into TurboTax (in the Deductions & Credits section) so TurboTax thinks that your reimbursed moving expenses are all income.

How to enter your moving expenses once you are in your TurboTax tax return:

1. Click on the Federal tab (on the left of the screen)

2. Click on Deductions & Credits (on the top of the screen)

3. Click Check for more tax breaks

4. Click See list of all tax breaks

5. Click Show more next to Other Deductions and Credits

6. Click Start or Revisit next to Moving Expenses

Thank you!  That was a very helpful explanation. 🙂
