TurboTax will let you
transmit your return now if all your forms in your return are final BUT the IRS
is not accepting returns until January 23th. Your return will sit on
TurboTax servers until the IRS opens their e-file system.
Once you transmit your
return you cannot change it or get it back.
You would have to wait until your return gets rejected
or accepted. If
rejected, you can make your changes or add information to your
return. If accepted,
you would need to amend your
return to correct or add information to your return.
If you cannot e-file your
return is maybe because one or more forms in your return are not finalized, the
program should give you a list of the form(s) & the date they will be
available. The following will give you a list of forms & when they
are available. Look in the column for the software you are using: Online,
Windows, Mac
