After I got done with my taxes, it didn't completely end, but I did see what my amount is. should I go ahead and wait or ask ?

What amount are you unsure of? Your federal refund is on line 35a of your Form 1040. That is the amount you will need to use if you track it on the IRS refund site.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
