I entered the two amounts from the 6419 for my spouse and I. The amount for each of us ends in $0.50. Then on the next screen, turbo tax rounds each number up and then totals them (and adding an extra $1) and asks to confirm if its the right amount. I tried to correct using the edit, re-entering the number $xxxx.50 for each box and it still did the same thing making the overall total off. While I don't care about this, TT is very specific about "entering the exact amount". Does this matter if its off by a $1? (Is it a bug?) It's asking me to check a box to confirm the amount but its wrong and doesn't total correctly. Thanks!

Outsmart the software. Round one up by a dollar and round one down by a dollar so it comes out even. Example: 10.50---round up to 11 10.50 round down to 10 you get 21 when they add together and it keeps the software happy. And all you need is the real total to keep the IRS happy.
The total amount is the amount that is important. It's what the IRS will use to determine that the amount you entered is correct. They said putting the wrong amount will cause issues. One dollar may not gum up the machine but it just might. Don't take the chance. Round one up and round one down so that the total is correct.
