My children, twins, age 30, are both disabled and live at home with me. They receive enough money that they are not dependents. However, because they are disabled and still living at home, they are qualifying for the EIC. When entering my son's information, I have told the software that I did not pay more than half of his living expenses and that he has his own income, (he has a job and SS income) but it continues to tell me he is a dependent when he is not. It does not do this with my daughter, who has no job and only receives SSI. I have tried editing him, I've deleted him and started over, but it continues to tell me he is a dependent.
