I'm preparing my mom's tax return in turbotax online free. How can I add my name as the preparer?

You do not do that with TurboTax Only a paid tax preparer would add their name as a preparer, which is not allowed with TurboTax software. Your mother's return will just say "self-prepared" since it was prepared using "do-it-yourself" tax software.
