TT does not receive your tax refund. It goes directly from the IRS to a third party bank to have the TT fees deducted before the balance is forwarded to you. This can add a day or so.
However, when you signed up for Pay with Refund, you agreed to let TT takes its fees if your refund was delayed beyond a certain point, so that may be what happened. But TT notifies you first.
Check the IRS website to see if your refund has actually been issued.
The IRS app says it's being processed but I received a update on my TT account that once again said that my refund was received and the amount bead posted in the corner in green then a caption said what's next so I clicked it and it said wait 72 hrs for my $ to be added to my card and if I check the irs app it may not have my current info posted so I guess it's more waiting and I didn't have a account for my fees to be taken out of I only had my refund to look forward to.
@jlk10131981 If the Where's My Refund website is still showing processing, then you will need to wait for the refund to be processed. Once the IRS accepts your return, Turbo Tax does not receive updated on the refund.
The IRS estimates most taxpayers will receive their refund within 21 days after acceptance.
I still haven't figured out where my money is or how my fee for my taxes was paid or why I received a update saying my refund was in it's been since February 25th that they were approved so no clue
If you elected to have your Turbo Tax preparation fees deducted from your refund, that service is processed by a third party - Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG). Your payment at some point will reflect as paid due to the election of this service. Once the IRS processes your return and subsequently approves any anticipated refund, then SBTPG will deduct their fee and then issue you the difference.
Payment Complete means your TT fees have been paid, bot necessarily that your tax refund. Most likely your filing was Accepted (for processing) on Feb 25. Approved is a later step. As indicated above, when you signed up for Pay with Refund, you agreed to let TT takes its fees if your refund was delayed beyond a certain point, even if your refund has not yet been issued.
