Well, yesterday my 2025 TurboTax Premier updated and indicated that it was finally ready to accept my 1099-R pension entries.
Except that it isn't. Despite now showing my 1099-R pension sources from last year, when I click on the update icon it takes me to the section where data can be downloaded online from investment institutions. I tried repeatedly yesterday and again today to enter my 2025 1099-R entries but the software failed and took me to the financial institutions link every time.
So, perhaps TurboTax was aware of this issue but if not, now you know so please resolve this ASAP.

Works for me in Windows Home & Business version.
When I get the list of 1099R that transferred over and click on the pencil to edit it
It takes me to Who gave you a 1099R? - I choose the first box and Continue at the bottom
For a married return it asks Who does this 1099R belong to.
Then enter details from the 1099R
How are you starting the Retirement section? Are you clicking on Update by 1099R?
When I click on the pencil icon to update the 1099-R amounts for 2025 the Premier software takes me to the page where you select a financial firm to log in so that your investment information can be downloaded.
It does not allow me to update the 1099-R pension information.
There is definitely a glitch in the software, and it is very frustrating.
You know it takes me different ways each time I enter or edit retirement. Can you scroll down to the bottom and click on Skip Import?
I have tried this multiples thru today (28th). Offers import (desktop), goes to website, says "success" and return to TT, then a blank 1099-r appears - to be completed manually. not successful.
Just wanted to let you know I have the very same issue that you do. TurboTax premier will not allow me to enter my wife's 1099R information. It tells me that the information needs review but it will not allow me to go any further. I thought I saw a message a few days back that they were working on this but as of January 29 today it is still not working. I'm guessing they need to make sure that it complies with tax laws but if that's not what it is they've definitely got a glitch in this thing. I'm hoping they'll fix this in the next 24 hours because it's preventing me from completing my return .
I also face this issue as of now. TT 2025 Premier says, it downloaded on the browser. But nothing is seen on my TurboTax. I tried with Fidelity, Invesco sites. Same result. Any update will help.
Mine just now got fixed. My browser had a shield that probably inhibited downloads. Once I allowed, I was able to get my imported data.
