23 yr. old son died 3/2/17. He was living with us &qualified as a dependent. Filed federal tax-rejected because his soc.security # shows him as deceased. What do we do?

He should still qualify as a dependent for the year. The law states that a dependent can be claimed as a dependent in the year of death regardless of the date of death.
I recommend going through the dependent section again. Make sure his date of death is entered. If the date was entered before the last time the return was rejected, I would print and mail your return. The IRS may request some documentation later on, but I would think that would only include items like the death certificate.
