I'm using TurboTax Premier 2025 on a Mac. Schedule A needs to be updated. In Line 5d it still says "Enter the smaller of line 5d or $10,000 ...". It should in fact say was the official IRS form now says: "Enter the smaller of line 5d or $40,000 ($20,000 if married filing separately). If Form 1040 or 1040-SR, line 11b is more than $500,000 ($250,000 if married filing separately), or if you copleted Form 2555, Form 4563, or excluded income from Puerto Rico, see instructions"

I confirmed that. I'll let the Mod know. The amount on line 5e is right.
looks fine to me, also on Premier on Mac. make sure you have latest forms updates on Turbotax menu / Check for Updates or hold down Option and run Download Latest Updates.
Interesting. The problem was in the "version" of Schedule A that appeared under California Forms. There wasn't initially a Schedule A under my federal forms -- presumably because my standard deduction for federal purposes was more than my itemized deductions. So, in Forms mode I manually opened a new Schedule A, which appeared under my federal forms, and, voila, it had the correct prose. I then removed the Schedule A that had mysteriously appeared under my California Forms ... and a few seconds later, a new Schedule A was created there, populated with the correct data but with the previously reported incorrect prose! Bottom line: There's still a bug. It's just not as straightforward as I initially thought.
ah sounds like something in the CA state program.... I suppose if the calcs are correct and it's just the verbiage you'd be ok.
perhaps @VolvoGirl can advise further on CA.
I confirmed that. I'll let the Mod know. The amount on line 5e is right.
