When I fill out this section, it has already been populated with the info from my previous years (Desktop Edition) imported tax record, I close and save the information, the file remains as (Start) with a gray (NOT STARTED) indicator to the left of the (Start) indicator. The amount imported from the (2024 Desktop Edition) is correct and that correct amount is displayed in the year summary. Stepping through the section and filling out the remainder of the questions, intended to see if the amount is taxable changes nothing once I finish the section.

The file remains as (Start) with a gray (NOT STARTED) indicator to the left of the (Start) indicator.

The gray 'Not Started' indicator is a display issue.  Since you have stepped through the section in the interview, and verified that the correct amount is displayed in the year summary, this is not affecting your tax return.
