I want to e-file my MN State tax return but it will only let me file by mail. Both of my MN Property tax return and my Federal return allow me to e-file. I'm trying to find a root cause, but I can't see anything. Can you help resolve this? Thanks.

Since you didn't name the error, start here:
You need to go to the final review and see what the error is, what form is showing, what line, more information. The review has a box for you to correct. Reply with more information for more help.
There is no error. Everything checks out fine. I get to the page where I can change the filing method for state. It defaults to "File By Mail". This is what the page message says below. There is no other info. I checked the items you said to check but employer state id is present. I'm not sure what you're talking about regarding the attachment. I don't see that I need to include an attachment anywhere.
You can call in so an agent can do a screenshare. Here is a link to contact Turbo Tax Customer Service.
Just sharing- I'm having the same issue. When I went back to "Review" to find and correct any errors/issues, it says there are none, but then still says I can't e-file.
I am having this same error with my MN e-file attempt. My federal and MN property tax e-files worked. The review process returns no errors. I don't know what the "tax situation" is and how I am supposed to fix it.
I called into turbotax support. They had a web session with me and were unable to find the root cause. They said it doesn't look like a turbotax issue but probably something on the minnesota state side that was triggering this. I'm not sure why this happened all of a sudden this year for the first time. I've been filing my taxes with turbotax for many years and have never run into this. My tax situation hasn't changed recently either. Unfortunately, I had to give up and manually mail my state tax return in at the post office. Hopefully next year I'll be able to e-file or find out why I can't. It would be great if turbotax could build in some better diagnostics to alert the user to the root cause in the future. Thank you!
