I have not worked for a few years, but started working in 2022, it is part-time and I still get SSI. When I file, do I also add SSI in addition to My work? I understand just SSI you don't file, but I am confused cause I also work. Also, I am still married but have been separated for many years, I will fill separated, but I am asked what My spouses social security number is and I do not remember and have absolutely no contact, what do I put if it requires it? Thank you

SSI is Supplemental Security Income and is not from the Social Security Administration. It is designed to help aged, blind, and disabled people, who have little or no income; and. It provides cash to meet basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter. SSI is not reported on a tax return.
A spouse who is Married Filing Separately is not required to provide the Social Security card for the other spouse, although the return cannot be e-filed without the spouse's Social Security number.
A lot of people get SS and SSI mixed up. They are separate. If you get a SSA-1099 it is for SS or SSDI, not ssi. If you get a SSA-1099 you have to report it and enter it on your tax return.
