2020 Turbotax Premier: I cannot find a place to enter "2019 federal estimated taxes paid in 2020". I see only state and local fields. Federal doesn't matter?

Federal taxes paid are not tax deductible.  State and local taxes paid are deductible on Schedule A, if you itemize.  So, if you are working on deductions, you will not find a place to enter federal taxes paid.

Thank you for the immediate response. I wasn't thinking about whether it was used on the return! It just seemed odd to me that it was referring to both federal and state estimated taxes in the same manner (i.e., don't enter here..) on the 1st screen, then no mention of federal on the next entry screen.

To enter your estimated payments please follow these steps:

1. Click on Federal >  Deductions & Credits.
2. In the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section, click on the Start/Update box next to Estimates.
3. On the next screen, click the Start/Revisit box next to the appropriate line [Federal, State or Local] estimated taxes for 2020. 
4. On the screen, How much did you pay in [federal/state/local] estimated taxes, all screens should have four boxes.  If you need additional boxes click on the Add another payment link.
